Everytime you do they get like a point I believe and every character have their own quota for them to be available for the final event. In AO you have A LOT of moments (some in side quests) for you to get more intimate with them. In the first game throught the game you have these points where you make a choice of who to focus on in your party members (a total of 3 times I believe) and the one with 3 points get a final event+ a better double attack which can be carried over to the next game. But we also had Joshua's friendship with Hans, Kloe and Lechter (this one we don't know where its gonna go yet), Jill and pretty much everyone in the party etc etc (look that series had a lot of interactions between the characters the list goes on).Ĭrossbell games have the bonding event system but its a bit different. Olivier X Schera, Kevin X Ries ,Joshua X Estelle and Agate X Tita were the more prominent ones. It wasn't always love but friendship and sibling bond as well (though that sibling bond might turn into actual love in the future since they are still vague about it from what I have heard ). Sky didn't have the relationship choices but instead had its own cannon relationships that took their time and fleurished. then there was no point to pick in 1.,2, and 3. but can't pick her in 3 and if they make alisa cannon in 4. i picked fie in 1 and will most likely in 2. and i don't think i'm the only one who think this. also it just stupid to removed those choices since they were in 1 and 2 as romance. haven't played it yet.) and no one know who would if any would be seen in next arc. and they do matter at end of 1 and start of 2. the relationship system was like persona and other games. Just more disconnect (which is already rife in this arc). Honestly the whole structure of CS relationship system hurt the narrative pretty bad, as none of those relationships matter outside the bonding events. Originally posted by AverageBoss:I mean, for the sake of a consistent narrative moving forward into future arcs, there should be a single cannon relationship at the end of CS, especially if we expect said characters to show up in, and interact with future arcs.
